#28 Elimination of Property taxes

If a land owner is a current or retired member of the military. They need not pay any property taxes. Current members include state reserves as well as active military. They also include police. They do not include, by themselves, fire fighters or civil servants unless they are part of the reserves. In simple terms your task includes being shot at or shooting others you do not pay taxes. If you support these people directly in military service you also do not pay taxes.

In addition, if you are a producer, that is to say if you produce more on your land then consume you also do not pay taxes. Self-sufficient households do not pay taxes.

The short fall of government funds reduced by the elimination of property taxes, would be made up by sales and sin taxes. 

Some refinement of this base idea is needed.
